When the news hit me that The Walking Dead had issued a free-to play-mobile game, my first impulse was to check out the App Store and see whether I could play it on my desparately outdated iphone – which I simply love too much to give up.
And Heyyy! TWD developers actually had decided to release the game for iOS 6. O.k., the description said „iphone 5“, but the hell with it. After the quick install I jumped right into the world of TWD – AND IT IS RUNNING BRILLIANTLY! You guys are amazing! I love you!
Now my fist idea was to publish a game review on TWD Road to Survival, but what can I say … the game literally sucked me in, and since I started, I have been too busy slaying zombies, raiding my fellow gamers and pushing my team level, to give a review another thought. Robert Kirkman – what were you thinking? It is absolutely dangerous to release gaming software like this! You will raise hell for traditional media, television and whatnot. Since I installed TWD, I spent almost all my free time with this game, which is why I ABSOLUTELY DON’T HAVE TIME FOR THIS REVIEW CRAP!
But still there’s a lot of great and valuable data and info I gain from my hours and hours of raiding, slaying and collecting and that needs to be shared. TWD features a very complex system of gameplay and there are many tasks and chores for a player that need to be fulfilled each day: building houses, upgrading characters, collecting supplies, forging weapons, and let’s not forget the occasional raid tournament and revenge raids. It took me days to find out what’s the best combination of fighters, how to level up characters and to decide which one is worth upgrading or what weapons to use for certain really hard fights.
