Looking for a Sherlock Holmes game? You got it! The legendary sleuth is back in a sequel to Crime and Punishment: In The Devil’s Daughter, Holmes investigates the case of young Katelyn and meets a new mysterious neighbour with definite tendencies towards the occult.
At first glance, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter comes as a unique adventure game blending exploration and typical Sherlocky-style investigation techniques with quite some action. According to VideoGamerTV, Bigben Interactive and developer Frogwares have given the game a full makeover with improved graphics and character design, presenting an all new and modernized Dr. Watson and a Sherlock Holmes who feels a bit like a mixture of the one-and only Jeremy Brett character-wise (you know, „THE Sherlock Holmes“), with the looks of a more modern John Downey Junior. Drugs, depression and scolding included, on a sublime level of course.

The story itself is not new to dedicated Sherlock-lovers: A beautiful female protagonist, Katelyn, seems to have discovered a dark truth about her family and consults Sherlock. At the same time a charming yet mysterious clairvoyant has moved in to Baker Street 221C, obviously bringing séances and occult rituals to the bastion of logic and rationalism – which might well be a reference to Conan Doyle’s devotion to occult and Victoian spiritualism. The author was convinced intelligence could exist apart from the body, and that the dead could communicate with the living and abandoned his literary works for the study of the paranormal.
Therefor Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter not just promises a breath-taking but also a quite fantastic and mysterious playing experience, coming to Playstation, XBox and PCs on June 10, 2016.
Like in previous games of the Sherlock series, you will play as the master detective himself, solving a fantastic adventure full of action (designed for the younger audiences obviously) but also including sequences of interactive clue-finding, eavesdropping and collecting of evidence. Clues galore! And they all must be checked and remembered when necessary. And: For the first time in his career, Sherlock Holmes will have to fight NOT to reveal a secret.
