California based studio NetEase, Inc has revealed two free to download games that feature the company’s traditional Chinese artistry: Lunar Flowers and The Beautiful Dream are puzzlers set for release in 2015.
Both games are free of in-app purchases and represent the studios passion for “sharing NetEase Games’ creative talent, culture, and art with gamers around the world”, said David Ting, General Manager of NetEase North America. Take a sneek peek at the artwork – you might like it:
The first titel – Lunar Flowers – is a single-swipe puzzle game set in a delicate, moonlit world. Players must ride a dragon, drift across the tranquil sea, and climb a stairway to heaven to guide a princess through her magical dream. Multiple levels of brain teasers and challenges await, supported by a beautiful original music score.
The Beautiful Dream is a 2D, color-based puzzle game. Players will have to guide the hero across the bounds of life and death to reunite him with his lost love. The story is based on the classic Chinese poem, “Peony Pavilion”. Traditional Chinese art based on colors, shapes, and the seasons illustrates each intricate puzzle. Various mini-games will be included.
Both free to download games will be release on the App Store later this year.
